Hello there! I would like to introduce my newest model, Dominika. It was her first photoshoot ever as well as her first time in my home studio.
You may have noticed that I'm constantly searching for new faces. The number of girls you can find on my site has already increased. I'm trying to build up on that in the coming months to bring you more and more looks on different types of skin, skin colour and face. I hope you'll appreciate the diversity.
I was glad she stepped in without any makeup whatsoever, because I think it's needless when coming to the makeup artist for a photoshoot. The face cleansing is still important, so I quickly used the Bioderma micellar water on her face.
After this necessary step I picked the foundation that matched her skin type. I decided to apply the Face and Body foundation from MAC on her whole face with the 104/BUFFER brush. It's a water based lightweight foundation, so it didn't cover all skin problems.
It was the reason why I decided to use the Concealer palette from Zoeva. This product was the perfect choice to cover the problematic areas when not using medium or high coverage foundations. I used the smaller brush for the application; the 142/CONCEALER BUFFER.
We solved the skin, so we can move to the contouring. I used my creamy contour palette; the Contour Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. The Light Sculpt shade was the perfect match to her skin tone, so I applied it with the 117/PETIT DEFINED BUFFER.
We applied a little brown to some parts of her face what means Dominica's face was no longer snow-white. A little light pink was still missing, so we used my favourite blush the Werk shade from Milk, which was applied with the same brush we used to contour.
What is still missing? The highlighter. I decided to use the 3D highlighter palette from Huda Beauty. I own the Pink Sand Edition and there is a beautiful pink shade in it, the Ibiza, which was applied and blended out with the 129/LUXE FAN brush.
She has darker eyebrows than her hair, so I had to use a darker shade. At first I combed them out and when I saw, where are the missing threads I started to draw them. For this step, I used my favourite brush the #12 and the Dipbrow Pomade's Medium Brown shade both products from Anastasia Beverly Hills. To finish the eyebrows I had to comb out the threads one more time with the Brow Set from MAC. It helps to make the result natural and keeps the threads in the right place, exactly where they need to be.
I made a simple eye makeup for her, but it perfectly emphasises her look. The first step which I didn't miss out again was the Prep + Prime eyeshadow base primer from MAC. It was applied with my fingers. It keeps the shades vibrant on your eyelids all day long.
I started to work with the Maneater shade. It can be found in the Textured Shadows Palette from Huda Beauty. This matte burgundy shade was applied on her whole eyelids with the 234/LUXE SMOKY SHADER. I had to blend it out, of course, so I needed an another brush for it. I opted for the 227/LUXE SOFT DEFINER. The next shade was the Fling from the same palette. I needed it on the middle of the eyelids to get a nice transition. I used the same brushes: the 234/LUXE SMOKY SHADER for the application and the 227/LUXE SOFT DEFINER for the blending. At the very last minute I decided to use some glitters on the middle of her eyelids. It was the Diamond shade from the NYX Cosmetics. The 237/DETAIL SHADER was the brush I needed for the precise application.
The last shade which was used on her eyes was on her lower eyelids. I mixed up the Henna and the Maneater shades to get the colour which I needed. It was applied and blended out with the 226/SMUDGER. I used a beige pencil on her waterline from NYX Cosmetics as a last touch to this part. This makes the eyes look a little bigger.
Dominika had her own 3D false lashes on, so I didn't have to glue anything up.
Her lips are naturally nice and thick, so all I had to do was to follow the edges with the 331/PRECISION LIP brush. The shade which I chose for her lips was the Rich Oak Brown from Lip Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I used a lip gloss from Zoeva to optically thicken her lips even more. The lip gloss shade was the Join The Dance.
Our today's makeup look came to an end. As I mentioned before, this was Dominika's first experience in front of the camera. I think she performed well.
