Hello! Let me introduce our new model on Gleamradar. Her name is Majka and it was her first photo shoot in our studio, but also in her life, ever. How did I find her? I got to know her through Lívi when we talked about who else can be interested in this kind of photoshoots. I contacted Majka on Instagram and we began to talk about the makeup and the style she like as well as the whole process of creating the pictures as you see them. She was really kind and also easy to work with. It was nice to meet her. Thank you, Lívi!
The first thing was to clean her whole face with micellar water.
Let's begin with the foundation. She had a healthy skin, so I preferred the Authentic Skin Foundation from Zoeva Cosmetics, which was applied and blended out with the 104/BUFFER. I used only a thin layer, because her skin didn't need a higher coverage.
The next step was to contour the skin. It's really important to give some colour to the face after the foundation. I decided to use creamy products, as I so often do, so I opted for the Contour Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I used the same brush for the application and for the blending, too. The 117/PETIT DEFINED BUFFER helped me out.
My opinion is that the next step after the contouring is always the blush. I picked up the Lip Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills to blush and I chose the Soft Oak Brown shade. I used the same brush as I used for the blending again, which head is perfectly angled. It is essential for this part.
One of the most important step which gave a little shine to the skin. The highlighter! I needed a palette with natural shades, so I opted for the Sun Dipped Glow Kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills and applied the Tourmaline shade with the 129/LUXE FAN brush.
It was the second time I used the BROWVO! Conditioning Primer from Benefit Cosmetics. At first I tested it on my brows, and I was completely satisfied with the product so I decided to test them on my customers and my models, too. (I will share a review about it). It is easy to guess what I used on her eyebrows. The BROWVO! is a two-in-one product. It combed out her threads and at the same time it applied a primer in thin layer to thicken her brows. It also heps to give it a natural look. I closed out her eyebrows with the Dipbrow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills drawing the missing threads with their #12 brush.
We arrived to the glittery part of the makeup. It's necessary to prolong the shades on the eyelids so I started the work with the Prep + Prime eyeshadow base primer from MAC. I used my fingers to apply it.
The Modern Renaissance palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills was a good investment, because I use it often. I needed it again, to create this eye makeup for Majka. The work started on the crease, where I used the Burnt Orange shade with the 227/LUXE SOFT DEFINER. By the time it was perfectly blended out, I moved to the next shade, which was used for the outer corner. The Cyprus Umber is a dark brows shade, which was applied with the 234/LUXE SMOKY SHADER and blended out with the 221/LUXE SOFT CREASE. To get a nice transition I used 227/LUXE SOFT DEFINER again. The next I had to apply was the glitter, but at first I needed the Glitter Primer from NYX Cosmetics to have the glitters stay in place. The 237/DETAIL SHADER was the brush I used, because I needed to work precisely. It was a perfect for applying the primer and the glitters, too. I chose the Dubai Bronze shade glitter from NYX Cosmetics for Majka. My next move was using the Waterproof Créme Color gel liner in Jet shade from Anastasia Beverly Hills with the 317/WING LINER brush. It's a black colour, which helped me to emphasise her blue eyes.
What I did with the lower lash line? The Raw Sienna was applied and blended out in a very thin line with the 226/SMUDGER. What did I use on her waterline? The same Waterproof Créme Color gel liner in Jet as I used on her eyelids. By finishing the work on the waterline I felt the need for a mascara on her lower lashes, so I used the Roller Lash from Benefit. It's brush has short silicone bristles, so it enabled me to work in an easy and efficient way.
As a last step I had to glue up the Natural Black Wispies from Ardell with a lash glue from Douglas.
Majka is really lucky, because her lips are naturally thick and beautiful, which is only a dream for a lot of girls. To emphasise it, I used a browny red shade on her lips. I had to mix up two colours from the Lip Palette of Anastasia Beverly Hills. I think I mentioned it already in one of the blogposts, that it was easy to get the good colour I needed, because when you purchase this product, the mixing plate as well as the brush you apply the shade with is included and built for this. This is exactly what us, make up artists need. You may also be interested of the shades I used, so I felt I have to mention them: Primary 3- Red and Warm Sandy Brown. They're applied with 331/PRECISION LIP.
I hope you liked this description. This was the first real photo shoot in our home studio with the subject not being me.
