Natural Smoky

Hi everyone! We managed to get Majka back to our studio. She liked the first photo shoot so I thought it's time to try out a Natural Smoky makeup on her. We created a look which emphasises her natural beauty but is still wearable every day. The makeup like this fits every occasion most of the time. I wouldn't wear it at work if not needed but if someone is having an important meeting with clients or attends to conferences where it's good to stand out and show our beauty at it's best than it's a no brainer.

Face

The first step was the same, as always. I cleaned her whole face with micellar water from Bioderma. It's my favourite, so I'm sure you've already seen it, because this product was the one always used in this section. When she arrived her skin was dry, so I used the 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil from The Ordinary on her face. It helped a lot, so I continued with the foundation.

The Authentik Skin Foundation from Zoeva Cosmetics was the one used on her face, because it's a lightweight foundation. I realised that I needed a little bit higher coverage so I built it up. The 104/BUFFER brush was at my help for precise application. To get a natural effect I had to work slowly and cautiosly. I don't recommend applying too much of the product, because it may be difficult to blend out beautifully.

The perfect base was ready. I continued my work with the Contour Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. My must-have brush for this step is the 117/PETIT DEFINED BUFFER. I used it for the application and for the blending, too.

The next step was the blush. I opted for the Lip Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills and I picked up the Peachy Pink shade. I used the same brush which I used for the contouring. As you may have already realised, this brush is really important in my makeup bag!

Highlighter! The product which the makeup can't be finished without. This time I used the Sun Dipped Glow Kit highlighter palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. The palette contains amazing colours, but this time I chose something more classic the Moonstone shade, which was applied with the 129/LUXE FAN brush.

Eyebrows

It wasn't necessary to correct her brows a lot. She has a nicely shaped eyebrows, so I easily and quickly combed them out and applied a primer with BROWVO! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer from Benefit Cosmetics (I'll post the review of this product soon). After combing them out I saw where are the missing threads, so it was easier for me to draw them correctly with a powdery product. It was a long time ago when I used a Brow Spectrum Palette from Zoeva Cosmetics, so it was time to use it again. I applied the darkest shade with the #12 brush from Anastasia Beverly Hills and the eyebrows were ready.

Eyes

Some makeups are based on a creative thoughts of a makeup artist and are not planned in advance, while other ones are very well planned creations based on influences of some kind resulting in a thought out masterpiece. I had a sketch, where I marked the colours I wanted to use on her eyelids. There were two browny shades (one lighter, one darker) and one black.

It was necessary to use the Prep + Prime eyeshadow base primer from MAC on her eyelids. I did it with my fingers to prolong the shades.

The palette I picked up was the Textured Shadows Palette- Rose Gold Edition from Huda Beauty. At first I used the Black Truffle near of the eyelashes with the 234/LUXE SMOKY SHADER. After applying it, I had to blend it out, so I opted for the 227/LUXE SOFT DEFINER. The second shade was the Coco, which was applied up to the crease. I used the same brushes again. The last shade was the Sandalwood, which is the light brown shade. I needed it on the crease to create a transition between the shades. This time I used the 231/LUXE PETIT CREASE.

On her lower lash line only the Sandalwood shade and the Roller Lash mascara from Benefit Cosmetics was used to emphasise her eyes.

The last step for this section is gluing up the false lashes. I opted for the Natural Black Wispies from Ardell which was glued up with a lash glue from Douglas.

Lips

To create a harmony between the eyes and the lips I opted for the brown shade. The Spice colour from Matte Lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I didn't want to use a nude shade, so I chose this darker brown colour. The other shade, the Melody Lip Gloss in Join the Dance from Zoeva Cosmetics was applied on the top of the lips. Everything I used on her lips was applied with the 31/PRECISION LIP. I think this combination perfectly emphasised her naturally thick lips.

We're at the end of today's blogpost and I hope you like this makeup! I'll create more and more makeups for sure but the next week is a product weekend so expected a product review to be posted. I would like to thank again to Majka for coming, she was pretty as always :)
