Textured Shadows Palette - Rose Gold Edition #2
Updated: Aug 23, 2019
Welcome! What you see in front of you is my 50th post on gleamradar.com!
It took me over a year to get to that number and I would like thank to everyone who helped one or the other way. My models and my fans, thank you for making this possible!
The model you see in the picture may be familiar to you, because you could have seen her on my blog in February. It was a long time ago, and I hope we will work together more and more. Our plan was to create a makeup look which looks good with the clothes I prepared for this shoot. I knew I wanted to work with pink shades so it was an easy and inevitable combination - we choose the Textured Shadows Palette - Rose Gold Edition from Huda Beauty. This is the second Makeup look I created for this blog using this palette and I hope you will like it. Let's begin!
The most boring part for you, but too important to miss it out: I cleaned her whole face and neck with micellar water before applying the makeup. I used the pink one from Bioderma. It doesn't irritate sensitive skin, so it's a perfect choice.
Let's move on to the foundation. She has a beautiful tanned and healthy skin, so she didn't need a full coverage foundation. I opted for the Face and Body foundation from MAC. It was enough to even out her skin and its colour so that way the freckles are still well visible underneath. I applied it with the 104/BUFFER brush.
The next step was the contour and the blush. I used only creamy products for this step. I picked up the Contour Palette and the Lip Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills for contouring and to blush. The shades were the Light Sculpt shade to contour and the Soft Pink shade to blush. I applied them with the 117/PETIT DEFINED BUFFER, which was created to be used for the foundation or concealer, but it has a perfectly angled brush head, so I decided to use it for this part - I think it was a good idea.
The last product on her skin was the highlighter from Zoeva. I chose a Strobe Gel in shade EOS, which is a light pink shade. It was applied with my fingertips on her cheekbones and collarbones. It's my opinion in general that the brush is usually good only for powdery highlighters, but for the creamy ones your fingers are the best option. I used a second highlighter to make the colours look more intense, the Ibiza - pink shade with rose gold reflects from the 3D Highlighter Palette - Pink Sands Edition and applied with the 129/LUXE FAN brush.
The model has a nice curved eyebrows, but I wanted to perfect it. I used my #12 brush from Anasatasia Beverly Hills. At first I combed out her eyebrows with this double ended brush. I used the Hydro Mastix from Kryolan on the threads to have them stay in place. The next step was to draw the missing ones with Dipbrow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills. She has a blonde hair and blue eyes, but her brows are darker, so I opted for the Medium Brown shade. I used the same brush for this step, but it's other half.
As the title says, the only palette I used on her eyes was the Textured Shadows Palette - Rose Gold Edition from HUDA BEAUTY.
At first I applied the Prep + Prime eyeshadow base primer from MAC with my fingers. It helps to prolong the shades and keeps them vibrant all day.
I applied the Flamingo shade on the crease with the 231/LUXE PETIT CREASE. It's a vivid pink shade, which was important, because without it this makeup would be a natural one.
The next shade was the Shy, which I needed on the whole eyelids. The 234/SMOKY SHADER was the perfect brush for this part. It's my favourite colour in this palette. Just a light pink shade, but very pigmented. The last pink shade on her eyes, the Angelic shade, is the one I used on her inner eyelids. For her lower eyelids, I opted for the Shy and the Sandalwood. The 226/SMUDGER is the brush I like to use for the lower eyelids, it's perfect so I picked it for this part again.
She had no false eyelashes, so I applied the Natural Black Wispies from Ardell and glued them up with the Lash Glue Dark Tone from Huda Beauty to emphasise her eyes even more. I wanted to draw a thin black eyeliner with the 317/WING LINER. I used the Black Truffle shade for this step. I did it, because I wanted to cover the place where I glued up the false lashes.
The last part of the makeup. I like symmetrical lips, so I decided to use the Soft Pink shade from the Lip Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I own this shade as a Matte Lipstick, too, but I like to work with this palette, because of the awesome range of colours it offers. I applied it with 331/PRECISION LIP. After the lips became completely symmetrical, I applied the lip gloss from Zoeva, in the Join The Dance shade. I needed to use it, because with the gloss the lips look thicker. I used the same brush as the one mentioned above in this section.
Time Spent: 1 hour and 30 minutes
